Some of the most stunning beaches on Crete, as well as some of the greatest in Europe, can be found in the larger area of Chania, where our hotel is located. Among the many varied beaches in the Chania region that our guests can explore while staying with us are the breathtakingly beautiful Balos, the well-known Elafonissi, and the lovely Falasarna beach.
Chania is a region that skillfully blends its magnificent beaches with breathtaking mountain scenery, as well as with innumerable gorges that provide fantastic trekking trails. Any hiker worth their salt must take the Samaria Gorge, one of the biggest canyons in all of Europe. The gorges of Agia Irini and Imbro’s gorge offer kinder ways that are nonetheless stunning and let one take in the Cretan landscape.
One of the most significant prehistoric civilizations, the Minoan Civilization, lived in Crete. The palace of Knossos is a very well-preserved example of this civilization, and the Archaeological Museum of Chania is a contemporary museum where you can appreciate examples of this culture.
You can enjoy the local cuisine which is the basis of Mediterranean cuisine, as well as local wine varietals and top-notch olive oils.
